Xin chao is definitely my new favourite restaurant to hit up while I’m in Vancouver. I’ve been to multiple mom and pop shops, however, this one takes the cake! Everything is super authentic and delicious. We got the lemon grass salad rolls and spring rolls to share. You can definitely taste the love and care that goes into their dishes. My friend got their BBH and I got Bun Cha Ca, both soups are super flavourful, noodles have a nice bouncy texture. Definitely much needed on a cold day. Coffee was super great, definitely needed it after such a fulfilling and delicious meal. Everything was super affordable. Definitely a place you need to check out and I love how they have halal options as well! I will definitely be back again!

After walking past Xin Chao on Cambie time and time again, I finally stopped in for a fantastic and flavourful dinner. This place is surrounded by construction and scaffolding however I’m so glad to have stopped into this hidden gem. The pho broth is extremely flavourful compared to other Vietnamese places I’ve eaten at - mmm!!! We had a chat with the owner as they were closing and she explained to us that the broth they serve is a traditional family-style bone broth with tasty ingredients such as cinnamon. (I also learned from the owner that leaving a Sriracha hot sauce bottle open causes it to oxidize and become spicier!). Inside the restaurant is clean and comfortable with a pleasant design which compliments the tasty food. I’ll definitely be back!

Finally get to try halal non-vegetarian Vietnamese food! Even though they said the best seller one is the spicy beef pho but I personally think the steak & brisket pho is the winner. The spicy beef pho uses a spaghetti-like noodle and the steak and brisket one uses vermicelli flat noodles which absorbs all the flavour. Highly recommend to add chilli oil and the hainan like sauce on the side, it will elevate the flavor!

The best pho I’ve had in a long time! The spring rolls aren’t oily at all and have water chestnut and shiitake mushrooms, so good! The salad rolls are stuffed with good stuff, not just noodles and lettuce. Drinks were amazing, lemongrass marinade was perfect and the pho broth was delicious. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Really enjoyed the pho here—the broth was flavorful and comforting. The place has a nice vibe, clean and lively. It’s a bit pricier than other spots, but considering the convenient, busy location, it’s understandable. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

One of the best pho we had. My son had short ribs with rice that was tender and juicy. Five star food. If you are looking for halal food this is an easy choice. Price is a bit high but worth it

The Coconut slush is worthy of the drive and parking alone! Hidden away by construction is this wonderful gem for Bun Cha Ca ( fish cake soup) wonderful broth, spicy pho, amazing jasmine blend tea and service. The young owner is super friendly, amazing customer service above and beyond. She informed us the chili oil is made in house ( bonus- not the generic ones other places often use)

Located behind some of the construction set up of the Broadway Skytrain Line on the west side of Cambie just steps up from the entrance to Jollibee, Xin Chao has been open for roughly one year. Our party of 5 came in on a holiday Sunday evening for dinner. Friendly service. Food was great - from the pho to the lemongrass chicken and pork dishes. Spring rolls were crunchy and flavourful. Drinks in addition to tea included iced coffee, lychee soda, coconut shake and an awesome coconut coffee which is essentially a combination of the shake and blended iced coffee. Missed having sliced jalapenos as part of the accompaniments for the pho and we had to ask for the chili oil rather than the condiments being on the table, but all in all a nice first-time dining experience worth a repeat!
